I did it (once)
I am honored to have been asked to read at Tommy's Mass of Resurrection tomorrow morning. Until this morning I had been unable to get through the reading without breaking into tears. I did it once so far and I will continue to practice until I read tomorrow. I need to make sure that Tommy is proud. His family has spent so many loving hours in making everything 'just right' for this evening and tomorrow. I certainly don't want to flub up my part in it.

You love Tommy & his family. I doubt that there is anything you could do to dishonor his memory. If you feel the tears coming, let them flow. They are an expression of your love for a special person.
