Cook Forest Half Marathon

Corky and I met up at 7:30 and drove over to Clarion, PA. This is the second time I have done this race. We got over pretty early; got registered; used a 'real' potty and got ourselves dressed for the race.

The gun went off and away we went. I started out faster than I really wanted to...my average speed for the first 10 miles was 9:45. I can't believe that I kept that pace for that long. I began slacking at that point. I am a bit disappointed with my time BUT I feel like I gave 100% on hte course. i ended up with 2:18

Lessons learned...START SLOW. Make a plan and work the plan. I had a plan...then I decided to do something different.

Something I can't tell people enough...HYDRATION, HYDRATION, HYDRATION....Nutrition too.

Eight miles tomorrow.....
